Gerhard Strassgschwandtner is an old stager at tourism business and has even created his own museum: The THIRD MAN MUSEUM about the post-war film classic "The Third Man" focussing on the historical background. Years of research resulted in publishing a catalogue on post-war Vienna. The catalogue is available at the museum (168 pages).

Gerhard is especially interested in how the official Austria deals with her past. Walking through Vienna, it seems that Austrian history ends with the turn of the century (19th to 20th!!) - but where are the traces of recent history? And why is there still no "House of History" up to now??

Gerhard offers tours in English and German.
